Replacement Guidance

The annual kit is generally replaced 365 days after installation and includes Stages 1, 2 and 3 plus the UV bulb. The Sterisil System G4 filter monitor tracks the remaining lifespan of these components when properly programmed.

Stage 4 deionization cartridge lifespan varies based on incoming source-water quality and water usage. Replace the cartridges when indicated by the system monitor or when water-quality performance shows that the cartridges are depleted.

Installation

The Sterisil System G4 uses automatic shutoff valve heads that stop water flow when a cartridge is removed. The main incoming water valve generally does not need to be shut off during routine cartridge replacement.
