Plastic Specific Restorative Instrument – J & J Instruments Plastic Fill Instrument #5 This double-ended instrument has a flat paddle at one end used to spread and shape, and a rounded or curved tip at the other end for smoothing and adapting material into the tooth preparation. This design renders it particularly adaptable with all anterior and posterior restorative procedures. Built from 316 grade stainless steel, the tool is resilient to rust and compliant with repeated sterilisation cycles. The instrument’s polished non-stick surface causes minimal adhesion of material allowing for clean application/distribution and smooth manipulation free of drag/clumping. The engraved handle is meant to help with the grip and control further, contributing to less hand fatigue over long procedures. Unlike their predecessors, the Plastic Fill Instrument #5 has a very balanced weight and a matte satin finish to allow for great handling and improved visibility under operatory lighting. It is 100% autoclavable.
