Miltex Absorbable Collagen Wound Dressing products are specifically designed to support hemostasis and protection of wound sites for the healing process. HeliCOTE, manufactured from the collagen of bovine deep flexor-Achilles tendon, is soft, white, pliable, and non-friable. This sophisticated dressing promotes blood clot development and is absorbed into the body within 10-14 days, therefore accommodating a range of surgical needs. It is indicated to be used in moist or bleeding oral wounds created during dental surgery to control bleeding and protect the surface of the wound from further injury. Since the absorbable collagen wound dressings can be easily removed without damaging the wound bed, they can be used as temporary dressings before surgical closure.
