X-OMATIC intensifying screens are designed for use with X-OMAT and other blue-sensitive films in general radiography applications. The phosphors in these screens convert X-ray energy into blue light - mainly ultraviolet - to produce quality medical images. Screens can be ordered mounted in X-OMAT cassettes or as replacement screens for customer installation. The screens also enhance the brightness of the X-ray, thereby lessening the radiation exposure to the patient. Hinged screens are utilized in soft cassettes to ensure proper positioning.
