These properties were found to make this polyether material an ideal impression material due to the accuracy it offered for dental impressions, both preset and set. Compatibility of the setting and set material with moist oral environments showed the accuracy and reliability of this material delivered in dental impressions. Its thixotropic nature allows for easy flow under pressure into the most critical areas and, at the same time, retains the material in its place when not put under pressure. These snap-set characteristics reduce the chances of distortion and rotational movements during the setting and removal phases, hence producing a well-fitting final restoration. Specially developed for use with a monophase impression technique, the material works with a single viscosity, both in the tray and in the syringe, thereby providing very high precision in dental impressions.
