The 3M Comply SteriGage Steam Chemical Indicator is a very high-performance type 5 integrating indicator that indicates that all of the key sterilisation parameters of time, temperature and steam have been achieved in each individual instrument pack or steriliser load. The chemical indicator measures 2" by 0.75" (5.1 cm x 1.9 cm) and is easily placed in the instrument pack and has highly visible colour changing results that occur during each sterilisation cycle. These indicators can be used in gravity displacement and pre-vacuum steam sterilizers, providing an accurate colour change that indicates successful sterilisation processing has occurred. The use of indicators supports infection control practices by validating the internal sterilisation characteristics, not just on the exterior. Each pack contains 500 indicators that are very economical for time after time use of clinical and surgical instruments in the laboratory.
