Air Techniques Intraoral Phosphor Storage Plates

Air Techniques ScanX Intraoral Phosphor Storage Plates (PSPs) provide a thin, flexible and wireless alternative to traditional dental X-ray film and wired digital sensors. Designed for compatible ScanX phosphor plate imaging systems, the reusable plates capture digital radiographic images without requiring a wired connection inside the patient's mouth.

ScanX PSPs are available in intraoral sizes 0 through 4 to accommodate a wide range of patients and imaging applications. Their thin, flexible design can improve positioning and patient comfort, particularly for pediatric patients, patients with a sensitive gag reflex, large tori or other anatomical considerations that can make rigid sensors difficult to position. After exposure, the plate is scanned by a compatible ScanX system, erased and prepared for reuse.

Compatibility

These are Air Techniques' standard 73445-series ScanX phosphor storage plates. They are intended for ScanX systems designed to use standard PSPs.

Important: These standard PSPs are not compatible with ScanX systems that require IDX phosphor storage plates, including the ScanX Swift View 2.0. Air Techniques specifies IDX PSPs for newer IDX-based systems such as ScanX Duo Touch, ScanX Swift 2.0, ScanX Swift View 2.0 and ScanX Edge. Verify the specific ScanX scanner model and plate requirements before ordering.

ScanX Swift View 2.0 Notice: Air Techniques ScanX Swift View 2.0 model G8900A can read only ScanX IDX phosphor storage plates and cannot read these standard 73445-series PSPs.

Care Notice: PSPs should be handled carefully to prevent scratches, bending, contamination or other surface damage that may affect image quality. Use compatible barrier envelopes and follow the scanner and PSP manufacturer's cleaning, handling and infection-control instructions.
